Tanzania Mwankumbi
Fully Washed
Dark berries. Chocolate. Green apple acidity.
Any brew method.
Mwankumbi started in 2016 as a cooperative of 44 smallholder farmers in the village called Ihombe. The idea was born from a cupping with friends. Neighboring farmers also brought their coffees to taste, people talked about challenges and problems, and so it came to pass that in the following weeks the cooperative was legally recognized and all other formalities were fulfilled. The cooperative has grown in membership in recent years. They now have 161 members. In the first year, 15t Parchment coffee was collected, in 2021 it was 94t Parchment. The coffee is processed by each member (home processed, fully washed), then delivered to the collection station on certain dates, where the quality is assessed and the coffee is weighed. The cooperative organizes the transport to the mills, the processing at the mills and the sale.
Tall Boys. Love 'em.
Because we at COFFIN firmly believe in one thing:
NO ONE should tell you how many cups of coffee you can enjoy a day.
